The Law Awards of Scotland undertake a rigorous research process in order to indentify who are the top law firms in Scotland.
Not just any firm can enter the Law Awards of Scotland, only those who rated highly enough through our research will be invited to enter the awards.
In many ways clearing this quality threshold is an achievement in itself, and one which perhaps we have not placed enough emphasis on in this past.
So that is why all firms who pass the research stage and score highly by clients will achieve Recommended Law Firm status. In order to indentify the Recommended Law Firms we interview clients, research the views of the general market and canvass the opinion of lawyers themselves.
Finally we invite The Firms’ editorial panel to review the data, to ultimately decide which firms will achieve Recommended Law Firm status, and in what areas. Only the firms which have passed this threshold will be invited to enter the Law Awards.
However, to increase the chances of your firms being included, we would like to ensure we speak to some of your clients. With that in mind I have a short questionnaire I would like you to fill in. It invites you to list up to five clients you would be happy if we spoke to.

Clients will be invited to score you on a number of criteria including; quality of legal service, value for money, accessibility, clarity of advice, understanding of objectives, problem solving and overall professionalism.
Once the reseach process is completed, firms will be contacted and invited to sumbit a report to be judged in the hope of winning a conveted Law Awards trophy.
